fabric thimble

A Japanese inspired thimble, made from the instructions from the book  'Omiyage' by Kumiko Sudo.  I added an extra strip of fabric across the middle.   I can't say I have ever actually used a thimble before, however when I was sewing my hexagon coasters I thought something like this would be useful.  There are a few sewing projects in this book I plan on making which will me an opportunity to give my new thimble a test run.
