cut 3 pieces of wire 4" long and 2 about 5" long |
A couple of years ago I purchased a marble pendant with the intention of making something similar. This is my attempt.
Supplies used: 22 gauge copper wire, marble, wire cutters, metal mandrel (size 0 knitting needle), round nose pliers, smooth flat nose pliers, hammer & metal block
wind 1 of the longer pieces of wire around a mandrel (about 8 times), trim off ends |
thread the 3 shorter lengths of wire through the loops just formed, pound loops flat with hammer on a metal block |
center marble over loops and bend the wire ends up and around the marble |
wrap around the ends with last piece of pre-cut wire |
bend the wire ends into loops around the round nose pliers |
taking a pair of smooth flat nose pliers gently give the wires around the marble a twist |
